As we’re all getting ready for fall there’s something we should all take the time to think about, and that’s tree stand safety. August is tree stand awareness month and it’s a great time to think about how you’re going to help keep your friends and family safe. Everyone knows the importance of wearing a seatbelt while you drive, well tree stand safety should be no different. Whether you’re hanging stands, sitting with a friend, or hunting on your own, it’s extremely important to ensure that you’re safe while on stand.

Safety Vests are extremely comfortable these days and there are also products out there like a lifeline that you can put up on your tree stands right now during the off season so you can be safe all fall. The lifeline allows you to stay attached from the ground, during your hunt and back again. Not only does it make it much safer, but if you are getting new people into hunting it can alleviate their fear of going up and down a tree because they know they are always connected and safe.

Make it a point this fall to not only ensure your safety, but talk to your friends and family to make sure they’re doing the same. We all want to have a successful fall, but more importantly we all want to come home safe at the end of our hunts!
